Specialty Orthopedic Group is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Workers’ Compensation Associate to join our clinic. This position will be Monday-Friday, full time.

JOB SUMMARY
The Workers’ Compensation Associate supports coordination of workers’ compensation cases and patient services. This role serves as a key liaison between patients, case managers, adjusters, insurance carriers, and clinical staff to ensure efficient communication, scheduling, and documentation throughout the workers’ compensation process.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Coordinate care and provide exceptional service to workers’ compensation patients, case managers, and insurance adjusters
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations for office visits and specialty referrals
- Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments and referrals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Communicate regularly with insurance carriers and workers’ compensation adjusters regarding claim status and authorizations
- Ensure all workers’ compensation forms are completed and distributed appropriately
- Track case updates, disputes, and status changes while maintaining organized patient records
- Submit weekly case status updates and documentation to nursing staff
- Respond promptly and professionally to incoming calls, voicemails, and information requests
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and support new projects as needed
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and financial information
- Deliver a professional, courteous, and patient-centered experience in all interactions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of workers’ compensation experience required
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and teamwork
