Position Summary:
Specialty Orthopedic Group is seeking a compassionate and organized Pain Management Nurse Coordinator (LPN or RN) to support patient care within our Pain Management department. This position plays a vital role in coordinating clinical schedules, preparing charts, managing imaging orders, and serving as the primary point of contact for patient communication and medication needs. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule interventional pain procedures and follow-up appointments in coordination with providers.

  • Review and prepare patient charts prior to clinic days, ensuring all imaging, authorizations, and documentation are complete.

  • Order, schedule, and track MRI and other diagnostic imaging as needed.

  • Communicate with patients regarding preparation instructions, follow-up care, and general inquiries.

  • Process medication refill requests in accordance with provider protocols and state regulations.

  • Assist providers with daily clinical flow, patient coordination, and documentation.

  • Maintain accurate and timely records in the EMR system.

  • Support compliance with all clinical policies, safety standards, and quality assurance requirements.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient coordination of care.

  • Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and a patient-centered approach at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Current LPN or RN license in the State of Mississippi, in good standing.

  • Experience in pain management or similar specialty preferred.

  • Familiarity with appointment scheduling, insurance authorizations, and EMR systems (ModMed, Epic, or HST experience preferred).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.

  • Knowledge of pain management terminology and interventional procedures.
